Anglo-Spanish part-time Secretary
needed at our
City of London office - 16, Old Bailey EC4
So as to avoid having to take on temporary staff, who could not possibly assimilate all our office procedures without days of training, we have split this essential and responsible job between two part time secretaries one of whom works in the morning, whilst the other works in the afternoon.
Often the two job sharers swap their allotted working shifts to suit their joint convenience and of course when one is away on holiday, the other covers and vice versa. This arrangement works extremely well but depends on flexibility, goodwill and sense of responsibility.
The job would particularly suit a freelance translator who has some agency work but needs to be able to count on a regular income as well.
This job requires:
- Computer literacy i.e.: familiarity with Windows XP
- English mother tongue standard
- Good spoken and written Spanish (Castellano)
- Extensive knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Word and Outlook.
- Fast and accurate audio and copy typing
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
- Good telephone manner
- Dedication and attention to detail.
- Flexibility as to working hours
- Availability to travel to Spain to work in our offices in Marbella when required
Preference will be given to those applicants
- With extensive experience in Spanish-to-English translation
- With experience in e-document management
- who have had experience working in a law firm, auditors or similar professional firm.
- Who have studied law in Spain or in England
- Who have lived and worked in Spain
- Who are familiar with Excel
We Offer:
- Salary according to experience and qualifications.
- Four weeks annual leave
- Permanent employment morning or afternoons (as agreed).
- Opportunity to work from time to time at our Spanish offices.
- Flexible working hours - by arrangement with your job sharing partner
